We've written this in plain language. Your privacy matters to us — and we want you to actually understand what we do with your data.

What data we collect
Bryom collects only what's necessary to make the app work well for you. This includes:
- Account information — your email address if you create an account, used only for authentication and essential communications.
- App usage data — tasks you create, habits you track, mood logs, streaks, XP progress, and quest completions. This data lives on your device and syncs to our servers only if you have an account.
- Device information — basic device type and operating system version, used for debugging and ensuring the app works correctly on your device.
- Crash reports — anonymised crash data to help us identify and fix bugs. No personal content is included.
What we don't collect
We do not collect, sell, or share:
- Your identity beyond what you choose to provide
- Location data
- Contacts or calendar data
- Any data for advertising purposes
- Any data to train AI models used by third parties
How we use your data
Your data is used exclusively to provide and improve the Bryom app. Specifically:
- To sync your tasks, habits, and progress across devices (if you have an account)
- To power the AI companion's pattern learning (processed on-device where possible)
- To send you notifications you've opted into
- To identify and fix bugs and performance issues
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers and review our security practices regularly.
If you use Bryom without creating an account, all your data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access all data we hold about you
- Export your data in a portable format
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of any non-essential data collection

Children's privacy
Bryom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via the app or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version.
